11/14/2007-- China Mobile is in talks with
Apple on bringing the Apple iPhone in the Chinese market. The latest
news is that Chunghwa Telecom has now said that they are in talks with
the US based company to bring the popular mobile phone device in Taiwan.
Chunghwa Telecom vice president Shih Mu-piao confirmed while speaking at a media event: “We are in talks, but nothing has been finalized.”
He added that the consumers in Asian market prefer mobile devices featuring support for 3G technologies.
And it could be a while before Apple is able to launch the iPhone with support for these technologies available in different Asian countries.
Apple has plans to bring the iPhone to Asia by next year. No confirmed deals have been announced yet though.
