Business amenities — Admittedly, IAH is a bit behind the tech times, but officials say they are working on it. For a fee, laptop users can log on to modems at various spots thoughout the airport, but the bigger news is that by spring, the airport will be equipped with Wi-Fi. ATM machines and currency exchange services are widely available.
Getting downtown — If your hotel doesn't have a courtesy van, there are several options for getting where you need to go. For $1.50 the Houston Metropolitan Transit Authority (METRO) has bus service available on the south side of Terminal C, including the No. 102 Bush Intercontinental Airport Express bus to points in and around downtown Houston. Coach USA and Express Shuttle USA offer shuttle service to most major Houston hotels and destinations. Prices range from $19 to $24 per person. Call 713-523-8888 for reservations.
