You can drink a beer and get your shoes shined all at the same time here, and if you need a button sewn on, or a hem taken up, this is the place to go. There is a very high level of personal service here, and everyone is very friendly. Also, a great tip for the single ladies out there - these people will take great care of you, make sure no one is harassing you, and even walk you to your car if you feel unsafe. Great place to make friends downtown.
Who is there: Upscale/Casual Bar crowd- good mix of people.
Selling Point: Feel free to sit in the shoe shine chairs.
Dean's Credit Clothing
316 Main 713-227-3326
Open 7 days a week, from 8pm-2am
Never a cover charge, 21 and up only
Parking is typical of downtown - paid parking in lots, free on the street after 6 pm (if you can find a spot), or you can valet at the corner of Main and Preston for under $10.
One of the greatest things about this place is that you can enjoy a few drinks, and then go shopping. That's right, it's a bar AND a clothing storeā¦ We don't know of many places that you can do two of your favorite things at the same time. Great cocktails, great clothes, what more could you need? On Tuesdays, they have Soulphilia with DJs Groovy Soul, and on Thursdays at Dean's they have a band called The Little Brother Project keeping you in the mood for drinking and browsing. You can visit Houston Night Life for more clubs and bars in Houston review. Dress code is casual.
Who is there: Fans of live music (but not the grungy crowd)
Lesser known fact: You can actually buy the clothing in the windows
