Q: What is there to do in Rice Village?
A: Dear reader, You should walk to Rice, because the Rice Village is just a quick and enjoyable walk (ten minutes) from campus. In the "village" you can buy inexpensive books from Half-Price Books-this comes in handy for your English and humanities classes or if you just want to do some pleasure reading! You can also take your time shopping throughout the many stores that make up the "mall-like" area of the village, from well-known names like the Gap and Banana Republic to smaller, unique stores such as the Bead Shop and Portico (an antique gift shop). When you are feeling low on energy, stop by Dimassi (great Mediterranean food), or one of the many other awesome restaurants in the area- such as Souper Salad, Two Rows, and Mi Luna.
