The Nature Center's Interpretive Building offers the Marie Vann Resource Library, The Nature Gift Shop, restrooms, water fountains, and the Discovery Room. Open every day except Monday, the Discovery Room features a 15ft. model of a tree, aquariums, interactive touch screen exhibits, and easy to use microscopes with video display monitors. Free public tours are offered every Saturday and Sunday at 2 and 3 p.m. An Urban Nature Series program each Sunday at 2 p.m. gives a free, informal presentation about a variety of nature topics. The Center offers educational classes from age 3 to adult. Open house events include an Arbor Day Celebration on the third Saturday of January.
