12/14/2010-- The Chinese government plans to further
intensify efforts over the next five years to salvage and protect the
country's most important archives, said the State Archives
Administration on Tuesday.
According to the director of the administration Yang Dongquan, in the past five years, the country's treasury allocated 450 million yuan (68 million U.S. dollars) to restore and protect more than 4.5 million archives.
