Chinese Checkers is a game where everyone is trying to make it across to the
other side of the board and occupy the opponent's space. Here are a few tips to
help you succeed.
1. Block Your Opponent
Sometimes the best thing you can do is to block your opponent. Watch what your
opponent is doing. Is he setting up a row of marbles that he can hop all the way
over to your side with? If he is stop him by putting your marble in his way.
This can be a very effective way to slow down your opponent and to frustrate him
as well.
2. Move Your Marbles in a Group
Try to move your marbles in a group. This will help you get more jumping
opportunities because you can jump over your own marbles as well. Make sure that
you keep your marbles moving together, a lone marble isn't going to move very
fast and can cost you the game if your opponent is getting close to winning.
3. Trap Your Opponent
Sometimes you can trap your opponent so that if he moves his marble closer he
will let you move further by giving you something to jump over. This can help
you out and make your opponent unwilling to move that marble, which slows his
advance. It is better if you trap his marble close to his own territory because
when he finally moves it he will have a long ways to go before he reaches you.
4. Play With a Teammate
If you play on teams you and your team mate can help each other out by giving
each other set ups to help get your marbles to the end. When there are more
people playing it can be more confusing, but you also are able to hop much more,
besides playing with more people makes for a more fun experience.
