11/2/2007-- Zheng Tu, one of
the 3 online games in the world which has exceeded 1 million peak concurrent
users, will be launched in Malaysia on Nov. 7, its Malaysian agent iG-Interactive
Sdn Bhd announced in Kuala Lumpur on Friday.
The company in partnership with Lager Network Technologies Inc. in China's
Taiwan, will collaboratively launch a new regional South-East Asia server of
Zheng Tu Online for online gamers in Malaysia, Singapore and Taiwan.
"Game mission can teach gamers Chinese philosophy," said Tan Teck Seng, CEO of
iG-Interactive Sdn Bhd, adding that the quizzes in the game will also be
localized for the local gamers.
Chinese online games have developed speedily in the recent 10 years, which are
benefit from the hardworking personnel of science and technology and the support
of the government, said Gu Hongxing, first secretary and head, cultural office
of the Chinese Embassy in Malaysia.
Chinese online games are not only favored by the domestic gamers, but also
welcomed by the gamers from neighboring countries, including Japan, South Korea,
Vietnam, Singapore and Malaysia, Gu added.
There are 6.2 million Chinese in Malaysia, which accounted for about one fourth
of the Malaysian population.
