4/13/2006 HOUSTON -- Congressman John Culberson will host town hall meetings on Wednesday, April 12 and Thursday, April 20. The April 12 town hall meeting will be held at Rice University's Shell Auditorium, and will focus primarily on local transportation issues, such as METRO's proposal to build a light rail line down Richmond Avenue. State Representative Martha Wong and City Council Member Anne Clutterbuck have also been invited as special guests. The Congressman is very interested in hearing the opinions of local residents and business owners, and would greatly appreciate your attendance at this meeting.

The April 20 town hall meeting will be held at Stratford High School, in west Houston. This meeting will focus primarily on the issue of border security and the reconstruction of the Katy Freeway. The Congressman will discuss his work to protect our borders and reduce traffic congestion, and listen to your thoughts and views on these and other important issues. State Representative Joe Nixon and City Council Member Pam Holm have been invited as special guests.
