Houston Inner Loop Homes Continue to Increase

Houston single family homes inside the loop (610) continue to increase in value in 2006.

Popular neighborhoods include Afton Oaks, Camp Logan, Memorial, River Oaks, Upper Kirby, and the West University area. Property prices for individuals and builders have increased over 10 percent annually. Certain neighborhood lots have increased from $ 250,000 to over $ 400,000 in just the past 18 months.

The average home price in the following neighborhoods have increased in 2006:

Afton Oaks Average home $ 641,103.00
Camp Logan Average home $ 429,000.00
Rice Military Average home $ 344,692.00
River Oaks Average home $ 1,597,862.00
West University Average home $ 1,145,732.00

In areas around the Houston Medical Center, Rice University, Museum District, Hermann park continue to change with the building of more Condominiums, Townhouses and high end homes which range from $ 200,000.00 to Millions of dollars.

When looking at building your Custom Home there are many Areas to be concerned including Neighborhood Building Restrictions ( building height, floor limitation, setbacks, utility easements), as well as writing a Custom home construction contract. Set a time limit and select as many fixtures, décor, appliances, tiles, granite, and carpet as you can.
