2/20/2012-- Leap Year is a mathematical equation bringing
the calendar and the solar year into harmony. It seems the Egyptians
started it and the Romans perfected it by adding an extra day to the
calendar once every four years.
The first year was 45 B.C.; eventually, the day was, and remains, February 29. Though, the “why” of it is interesting, the fun of it is to make associations of past events, and share when to celebrate it in the present.
