3/7/2011-- The Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation is hosting a
special seminar entitled “Love Without Borders: Empowering Zulu Women in
South Africa.” This free seminar is being conducted nationwide, with
speakers who will be speaking at a United Nations Commission on the
Status of Women workshop sponsored by Tzu Chi.
This seminar features presentations and stories of a businessman who has led thousands of Zulu women to emerge from poverty. These Zulu women not only transformed their own lives through hundreds of career training classes established by Tzu Chi, they have also been devoting themselves in caring for orphans and AIDS patients in their communities.
At this event, you will get a chance to meet in-person two Zulu women, Sheila-Gladys Ngema and Tolakele Maria Mkhize, and the businessman from South Africa, Michael Pan, and listen to their inspirational stories and watch video footages from their daily life in South Africa. Through their stories, we will see that love is the ultimate antidote to human antagonism and suffering.
