Houston's MetroBank celebrates Chinese New Year
1.30.2006 Monday- Today marks the second day of the Chinese Lunar New
Year.
MetroBank held their annual Chinese New Year celebration by holding a Lion
Dance performance inside their Bellaire branch office (9600 Bellaire Blvd.). The
performance was amazing and a sight to see.
Many
people including elementary and high school kids and MetroBank's employees were
on hand to see the Lion dance perform spectacular tricks like walking in mid air
on wooden plates and grabbing the traditional lettuce and "red envelope" filled
with money as a token of prosperity and good fortunes.
