3/14/2007-- SHANGHAI, China--
Galleria.com.cn, China's first online luxury shopping site, is now available.
Chinese customers can access the website and purchase goods made by renowned
international brands such as Dior, Fendi, Celine, Loewe, Givenchy, Guerlain,
DKNY, Dom Perignon, Emporio Armani, Prada, Burberry, Swarovski, and Dunhill and
distributed by Galleria.com.cn. In total 30 luxury brands, and more than 1000
individual items, will be available online for the first time in China through
this site.
DFS, the world's largest travel retailer, developed Galleria.com.cn in
partnership with Shanghai Difusi Information Technology and Development Co.,
Ltd. DFS, with global experience in luxury travel merchandising and marketing
and Shanghai Difusi, which provides the technical platforms for the site, have
created this online shopping experience for China's most avid shoppers.
"A mainstay of DFS' strategy for growing our business is a commitment to
innovation and pioneering new markets. We have done that most recently by
opening a large Galleria in Okinawa and we are planning a luxury Galleria for
Macau. Galleria.com.cn extends our reach into every home in China with Internet
access, providing a new shopping channel for an important and large emerging
luxury market," said Ed Brennan, Chairman and CEO of DFS. The site's theme line
is "Love To Shop" and the concept is "Your license to shop luxury brands with
confidence and have fun, too." Exquisite graphics and copy in both English and
Chinese invite the customer to browse through extensive lines of beauty and
fragrance products, leather goods, fashion, accessories, and fine watches and
jewelry.
In addition, Galleria.com.cn provides fashion tips, beauty advice, news, and
trend reports.
Customers can get information from trained service representatives either
through the site's chat room or by calling a toll free number.
Customer orders are fulfilled at a warehouse in Shanghai and deliveries can be
made to nearly any address in China. Products are guaranteed to be authentic and
customers can be assured of excellent before and after sales service, a good
returns policy and multiple payment options.
DFS, with more than 150 airport and downtown Galleria stores in 14 countries, is
based in Hong Kong and owned by LVMH Moet Hennessy Louis Vuitton, the world's
leading luxury product group, and companies associated with one of DFS'
founders, Robert Miller.
