Skin Care Dangers - Ingredients to Avoid

Skin care creams today are filled with chemicals and unnatural ingredients, which have, without a doubt been proven to cause anywhere from a mild rash to even cancer.

These chemicals are cheap to use. They prolong the shelf-life of the anti aging creams, which means more money for the big anti aging companies.

I personally saw a very dramatic improvement in my skin when I switched from popular products (filled with chemicals) to natural alternatives.

My skin was finally able to breathe. Here are three of the worst chemicals you should avoid at all cost:

1. Parabens

Parabens are widely used as a preservative in anti aging skin care products today. It is very good at prolonging the shelf-life of moisturizers, lotions, gels, serums and what have you.

But it is not so good for your health. Recent studies suggest that parabens may cause cancer and interfere with your body's internal systems. Doesn't sound too good, does it?

2. Dioxanes

I'm amazed that dioxanes are still allowed in skin care products. They have been banned by the state of California because they cause cancer, but many countries and states still allow it.

It makes harsh ingredients milder, which makes you ponder "why do skin care companies need to make harsh ingredients milder? What are they putting the anti aging creams?"

3. Fragrances

Fragrances are a minefield, because the term fragrance can refer to up to 4,000 different substances, all of which are harmful to you.

They may smell good, but the side-effects they cause are not something you want to mess with. Fragrances may cause depression, hyperactivity, irritability, and and problems with your central nervous system, just to name a few problems.

Always buy a natural skin care cream. That's what I did, and I'm glad I made that decision, because my skin has never looked better!
