2/11/2007-- The Southern News Group, publishers of the Southern Chinese Daily News newspaper will be celebrating their 11th Annual Asian Lunar New Year Festival, Year of the Golden Boar, on Saturday and Sunday, February 17th and 18th, 2007,
on their property at 11122 Bellaire Blvd., Houston, Texas (located between Wilcrest and Boone Road).

This year the program will include Asian Dance, Music and Songs, Shaolin Kung Fu, Martial Arts, Folk Arts, Rockets Power Dance and many delicious choices of Asian cuisine.

Also this year the Harris County Hospital District will bring its mobile unit to the celebration for the first time on Saturday between the hours of 12:00 noon and 4:00 p.m. They will conduct blood pressure and cholesterol testing as well as provide immunization services. Multi-lingual Asian health educators will also be available to answer health-related questions.

Sponsors of the festival this year include AT&T that will demonstrate new communications technology products and GMAC that will bring a selection of the new 2007 auto models to the festival. Representatives from Macy's, a new sponsor this year, will also be available to discuss the Macy's Star Rewards program and to assist festival attendees in opening a Macy's
account.

Admission is free and the celebration is open to the public.
