1/17/2011 PINEY POINT VILLAGE – From serene landscapes to abstracts of whimsical daydreams; from bold metal sculptures for the home to eye-popping custom jewelry for your favorite Valentine; from historical maps, war birds and ships to ethereal and reasonably-priced photo art and gourmet handmade chocolates by Kegg’s Candies just in time for Valentine’s Day…you’ll find it all from more than 60 vendors at the 39th Annual St. Francis Art Show the weekend of Jan. 28-30.

‘SPRING MORNING’ is an 18 X 12-inch photograph by Houston-based Alan Dunlop. Dunlop will exhibit a variety of landscapes and skyscapes at the St. Francis Art Show the last weekend of January.

The sales-exhibition is in Main Street and the Auditorium of St. Francis Episcopal Day School, 335 S. Piney Point Road.

Open to the public hours:

Sunday, Jan. 30, 11 AM until 4 PM with a complimentary brunch featuring food from Ragin Cajun served at 11 AM

On Saturday evening, Parents-Night-Out is a new feature of the Art Show when parents are invited to bring their children to the Wheatcroft Parish Hall of St. Francis while the parents enjoy the art show. For $20 per child, children will do arts and crafts, play games, have dinner and watch a movie. Contact Hollie Coerver, hecoerver@sfch.org or call 713-458-6305 to make a reservation.

A private Wine Reception on Friday, Jan. 28 at 5 PM will be hosted for St. Francis Parish members and friends, students and parents of St. Francis Day School and vendors.
