1/8/2011 TAIPEI (Xinhua) -- More than 166,000 babies were
born in
Taiwan
last year, a drop of more than 20,000 from the previous year, according
to statistics released Saturday by the island's authorities.
Taiwan's population was more than 23.16 million at the end of 2010, an increase of 42,351 people from 2009, with the male-to-female ratio at 101 to 100.
