11/21/2010-- An earthquake measured at 6.1 on the Richter
scale centered in the eastern part of
Taiwan
struck the area on Sunday evening.
According to the Central Weather Bureau, the quake's epicenter was measured on the Pacific coast at roughly 21.6 kilometers southeast of a seismic station located in Hualien County, which has a population of over 340,000 inhabitants, and approximately 135 kilometers from the southeast of Taipei.
