More than 3,000 blue-collar workers took to the streets of Taipei on
Sunday for a May Day protest over low incomes, long working hours and a
widening wealth gap. The protesters -- headed by various labor groups --
vented their anger at the government of President Ma Ying-jeou, and
organizers called on workers to use the ballot box to express their
discontent
