The exhibit and reception will allow viewers to discover and enjoy the oral history of a selected group of inspiring Vietnamese American immigrants. Among them are several well-known Vietnamese artists whose work was suppressed by the communist government shortly after the end of the Vietnam War. These artists risked their lives to escape the oppressive government of Vietnam and, upon reaching the United States, continued their passion for creation and expression by way of artistic creation in their new homes in Texas.
