Martin Luther King Jr. March and Festival
More than 10,000 march to the historic campus of Huston-Tillotson University for
an outdoor festival in honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on this national
holiday. Performances by some of the city's finest jazz, blues, and gospel
musicians. Location: 900 Chicon Street.
Play It By Ear
Come explore the art and science of tinkering with sound in our new feature
exhibit. Bring to life artworks created by sound artists. Make your own sound
art. Experiment with echoes. Change your voice to sound like a robot. This
exhibit takes a creative, playful approach to learning all about sound
production and reception. Location: Austin Children's Museum, 201 Colorado St.

Bat Watching
