4th of July Austin Symphony Orchestra. Enjoy great food and drinks by a variety of festival vendors and local restaurants in celebration of our nation's independence. Come early and enjoy our local artist market.  Kids will have fun on jumbo slides, moonwalks and other carnival activities. Location: Auditorium Shores.

Waterstone Development - Round Rock Express Freedom Fest. Freedom Fest features music from Kellie Pickler, Jerry Jeff Walker, the Paula Nelson Band, Stacey Barnhill and Uncle Lucius, as well as a post-concert fireworks show.  The event benefits the Children of Fallen Soldiers Organization founded in Round Rock.  Concert begins at 6 p.m. Location: Dell Diamond.

Pioneer Farms Independence Celebration. Pioneer Farms, 10621 Pioneer Farms Dr.

Cedar Park 4th of July Celebration. Enjoy live music, food concessions, air castles, face painting, sack races, a washer tournament, art projects and enjoy free watermelon sponsored by H-E-B. The fabulous day of celebration will end with a magnificent fireworks display sponsored by H-E-B.

Amir M. Lyles' "Africa Create Us". Experience the collection of acrylic paintings on Africa-shaped boards, wood and canvas mounted on wood.  Lyles aims to show the ways art and life often intermix in African cultures. Event ID: 7/19

Nunsense: The Musical. The little Sisters of Hoboken have a problem: how to bury fifty-two sisters accidentally poisoned by their cook, Sister Julia, Child of God. It’s time for a fundraising talent show, and the nuns are the talent -- well, sort of. An award-winning, laugh-out-loud show filled with songs, surprises and good, old-fashioned fun that’s a sure pleaser for the entire family. Location: The City Theatre. Event ID 7/6

Children's Day Art Park. Symphony Square will be transformed into an amphitheatre filled with balloons, bubbles, symphony musicians, magicians, mimes, arts and crafts, storytellers, clowns and musical instruments on Wednesday mornings this June and July. Bat Watching
The 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats that live beneath the Congress Avenue Bridge take flight in a mass exodus each night at dusk. Located at Congress Ave. & Cesar Chavez St. Austin, TX 78704.
