Zilker Garden Festival. At the Zilker Botanical Garden. The 49th annual spring Garden Festival, a 2-day fun-filled event with more than 100 vendors selling plants & garden-themed crafts. Austin Science Fun Day. Austin Science Fun Day features interactive booths offering entertainment and education for the whole family, with experiments created and demonstrated by Austin-area schoolchildren in partnership with local science organizations. Added attractions: a live-snake stage demonstration, “Science in the Movies” video show, the Chemistry Circus, the Physics Circus, and Bill Oliver and the Otter Space Band. Free. 10am -4pm. The Vietnam Experience. The Vietnam Experience is strongly
interpreted in this selection of 22 paintings, watercolors, and drawings by six
combat artists.
These paintings and drawings give a visual sense of the Vietnam War, from the
colors and landscape to the people and the adrenaline-charged combat actions.
The paintings capture the surprise attacks of the guerilla conflict, the vigil
River Patrol Boats maintained in keeping rivers open, and eyewitness accounts of
the dangers of this war. Location: Lyndon Baines Johnson Library and Museum.

New Botanicals Exhibit. Mary Welborn's New Botanicals is an exhibit of lyrical watercolor paintings of native flora and the role they play in our complex ecosystems. It is on display from 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays and noon to 5:30 p.m. Sundays in the McDermott Learning Center. These paintings are a charming and educational twist on traditional botanical painting
