Austin City Limits Music Festival. As one of the country's top music events, the ACL Music Festival has a reputation for bringing the world's top artists to Austin to rock eight stages. With performances from artists as diverse as the Foo Fighters to Erykah Badu and Beck to Manu Chao, this years festival satisfies any musical taste. Location: Zilker Park. Event ID: 9/28

Parallel Lives: The Kathy & Mo Show. Enjoy the crazy comedic duo of B. Iden Payne winners Breanna Stogner and Kathleen Fletcher the opening of City Theatre’s third season. The hilarious stage show by the brilliant Mo Gaffney and Kathy Najimy comes back to life for its final two week performance with two of Austin’s funniest females becoming a total of twenty-five plus odd characters in the wildest of comic sketches that muses on the battle of the sexes, homophobia, misogyny, religion, female anxiety and oppression. The People's Gallery at City Hall
