Old Gruene Market Days
Nearly 100 vendors offer uniquely crafted items collectibles and packaged Texas
foods in the Gruene Historic District.
Austin City Limits Music Festival
The fifth annual Austin City Limits Music Festival will rock Zilker Park. Each
year, the Festival features more than 130 musical performances across multiple
stages, giving fans a mix of rock, roots, gospel, bluegrass, funk and hip-hop,

Hill Country Fall Fest & Texas Wine Auction
Head to Marble Falls for a weekend of food and wine tastings, book signings,
live music and a wine auction. The three day festival kicks-off with an exciting
evening of wining and dining with the Hill Country’s top chefs. Representative
from Texas wineries will also be pouring glasses of their favorite vintages.
The Fall Fest continues Saturday with a book signing, cooking exhibition, and
lunch at Fall Creek Vineyards. From noon – 5 p.m., Hill Country Wineries will
open their doors for tours and tastings. Visitors will learn the process of how
wine is made, from harvest to first pour. Most of the tours and tastings are
free; however, some wineries will charge a small fee for sampling as well as for

Power to the People: The Electrification of Rural Texas
Walk into a world before television, computers, the i-pod, even refrigerators
and running water. The exhibit, Power to the People: The Electrification of
Rural Texas, is a unique story of one of the most dramatic events in Texas
history. Rural Texas in the 1930s was still in the dark as electric lines hadn’t
penetrated the beautiful, but rugged Texas Hill Country. Location: LBJ Library

Big Bugs
David Rogers’ Big Bugs exhibit includes eight enormous sculptures of insects—a
1,200-pound praying mantis, a 7-foot assassin bug and the biggest spider you

Bat Watching
The 1.5 million Mexican free-tailed bats that live beneath the Congress Avenue
