Whirligig! at the Seattle Center
Wow is for Whirligig! 2006, Seattle Center's annual carnival of fun for kids. Kids can have tons of fun while they bounce, slide, glide and ride on super-size inflatable rides. Arts and crafts, eye-popping decor, clowns, face painters and free entertainment transform Center House into a vibrant kaleidoscope of activity and amusement for all ages.

Yukimi Kambe Viol Consort
This world-famous Japanese quartet presents a concert of early music and contemporary music for viola da gamba. Featured are works by Josquin des Pres, Henry Purcell and J. S. Bach as well as Shin’ya Takahashi, Tsutomo Mizuno, Yoko Sato, Ryouhei Hirose and Seattle composer Peter Seibert.

Wonderful Town
Wonderful Town is the effervescent musical comedy that tells the story of two sisters, fresh off the bus from Ohio and bursting with dreams of making it big, falling in love and living happily ever after in New York City. Ruth, a level-headed would-be writer, and Eileen, a dewy-eyed man-magnet, venture into the madcap Manhattan of the 1930s in search of fame, fortune and fellas. Fragrance of the Past: Chinese Calligraphy and Painting by Ch’ung-ho Frankel and Friends
Ch'ung-ho Frankel, born in 1914 and one of the few female artists whose remarkable achievements have been acknowledged in China, has been a living witness to the transition of Chinese art in the twentieth century. This exhibition will focus on her art and her collection of approximately sixty sets of objects.

The Orchid Pavilion Gathering
The Orchid Pavilion Gathering: Chinese Painting from the University of Michigan Museum of Art will open at the Seattle Asian Art Museum in the spring. Ranging from the twelfth to the twentieth century, these paintings will demonstrate the rich tradition and evolution of the art of painting in China.
