I'm not sure what everyone is
complaining about. The food and service are pretty good. Besides, the small area
makes it a much more enjoyable environment compared to the regular hustle and
bustle of common Asian restaurants. The only recommendation I could make would
be to make your service more English friendly, if you know what I mean.

Service is straight out of a
Vietnamese war camp. Food tastes worse than dog food. In fact I would rather eat
pedigree

Worst service I have ever
encountered. My family order several dish for a party. 2 day ahead. When we got
there on the day of They said they would have it ready by 2 o clock. We got
there at 3 and they said they forgot to put in the order. They told us to come
back at 5. We came back at 5 and still nothing. We had guests waiting at home
with no food. After 2 hours later they finally came out with the food and they
made us pay full price for waiting a ridiculous amount of time. And they charged
us extra for stuff we didn't even order. Customer service doesn't exist in their
dictionary. I would never recommend this place to anyone. Terrible terrible
terrible!

Service is TERRIBLE. Knowledgeable
staff team desperately needed.
Last week, my husband ordered seafood stirred fried noodle to-go. He
specifically asked for seafood and to-go. Twenty minutes later, a waiter came
out with chicken stirred fried noodle. My husband said to the waiter that he had
ordered seafood. The waiter told him to wait and brought the food back to the
kitchen. Ten minutes later, he came back with a plate of stirred fried seafood
noodle with sauce already mixed in the noodle. Usually, restaurants leave the
sauce separately for to-go noodle so the noodle does not become soggy when we
get home. My husband commented that he needed it TO-GO and he can t take the
soon-be soggy noodle on a plate. What lady owner did next was unbelievable. She
took the noodle and dumped it in a to-go box and checked it out to my husband.
As you would expect next, my husband did not want to cause any problem in public
and took the food. After more than 30 minutes of waiting, the owner and staff
gave us soggy food that we paid for. We are NOT going back.

Good pork paste spring rolls and
vermicelli. But every time I call, they hang up on me. One time I called and
they didn't understand English so I asked to speak to someone who understood
English. It sounded like they went to look and one minute later came back and
hung up on me. :) Fun.

I had a wedding awhile back and so
I ordered food at Bodard. I had order food for 100 people. This is after the
church so everyone is extremely hunger since we all been up since 6:30AM. I had
place the order two days before and paid for it. The order was suppose to be
ready at 12:30PM so we can take it home and set it up for 2:00PM late lunch.
When friend came to pick it up at 12PM it was not ready. I suppose that is okie
until 12:30 roll around and nothing yet. He waited til 1pm and still nothing. He
finally got the order at 2:00PM and rush back to the house. By the time he got
home everyone was already there and nothing was in place. Both families and
friends did not eat til 3pm. Everyone was piss. By the way, Bodard is not all
that.

The girl that answered the phone
was very sweet and helpful. I couldn't stop trying to get a hold of Bodard
because they have the best pork spring rolls! Maybe the others were calling the
wrong number too. Though sometimes have bad service the food is good. :)

I know that customer service is the
most important part of running a service. The company's resource depends on
customers but the fact is Bordard don't even care at all. What is the purpose of
having a telephone number if you couldn't get through to them to place an order.
The phone would ring and then they would switch it over to fax mode. Then you
call back and you would get a busy signal. I would recommend that should remove
their phone number if they don't want customers placing any order.

If you order something and someone
hung up on you that probably mean he didn't write it down and if you show up
asking where is your order of course your not going to have it. And how was the
food horrible if you haven't had it yourself? Think before you speak please.

Horrible Service & Food. I ordered some Nem Nuong rolls at 10am for a 6pm pick
up. The guy who answered sounded irritated that I called so early to give THEM
business. After I called back a few minutes later to change my order he hung up
on me. So 6 pm and I show up. The kid greeted me and I told him I am here to
pick up my order, he looked confused. 5 minutes later I asked a young girl,
again she seemed lost and confused. 15 minutes rolls by and I ask a 3rd kid and
he told me that they probably did not write down my order and that if I can come
back in 30 minutes they will have it ready. Well f*** that, I had a Christmas
party to go to. I will NEVER return or recommend this "Bistro". There are way
too many good restaurants on Bellaire with better service to eat at. This is
just 1 of several incidents but this one pushed me over the edge. Happy eating
Houston!

We have eaten Bodard Bistro many times since we've discovered it through this
website. We first went there for the pho, which was just ordinary, but have come
back many times solely for their shrimp paste rolls. They do have delicious egg
noodle soups as well. the last time we were there we ordered rice plates and
they were very tasty. Unfortunately Bodard is not consistent with the quality.
We have gone there and gotten a terrible meal and then the next time we go it's
great. It's hit or miss with them. Some people talk about bad service but the
service in my experience has been okay. The only problem has been the language
barrier. I know absolutely no Vietnamese and sometimes we'll get a waitress that
doesn't know any English. I''ve learned just to order by number and try not to
throw too many English words in there so no one gets confused.

I have to admit, this restaurant
made GREAT dishes. But the service is much worse. If you demand both, mind as
well go somewhere else.
