Wayne Johnson. Sept 12, 12pm.
Seattle event at Pike Place Market. Born in
Louisville, Kentucky, army brat Wayne Johnson traveled the world, experiencing
the diversity of various cultures while growing up. Wayne was lured north and
became executive chef of the Mayflower Park Hotel in 1999. He oversees all food
activities for the hotel, Andaluca Restaurant and Bar and Oliver's Lounge. Call

Korean Cultural Celebration.

Give thanks this year at a
celebration of Korea's traditional Harvest Festival Day, called Ch'usok, at the
Korean Cultural Celebration. Festival-goers gain insight into this country's
cultural evolution through folk songs, dance, Tae Kwon Do demonstrations, films

Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival.
Sept 13 at Seattle Center.
Live Aloha Hawaiian Cultural Festival enlivens the audience with
the culture and celebration of Native Hawai`i. Some of the over 50,000 Hawaiian
Islanders who call Washington their home share their homeland's colorful history
through live performances of the hula and mele as well as historical exhibits,
films, Hawaiian crafts, keiki activities and ono food. The festival features
special demonstrations and educational sessions on traditional arts and crafts.
