Terra Cotta
Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor.
May 22-Oct 18. The Houston Museum of Natural Science is excited to
present one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century, the tomb
complex of China's First Emperor, Shi Huangdi, features thousands of terra cotta
warriors that were intended to protect him throughout eternity. Since their
discovery, the terra cotta army has been termed the Eighth Wonder of the Ancient

Clay Walker; the largest land-based fireworks show in the nation; a statewide
sand volleyball championship; activities galore for kids and families; plenty of
live music, and salute Houston’s military heroes and honor the 40th anniversary
of NASA's Apollo XI Lunar Landing.
