Houston International Festival. Annual outdoor event, over two weekends, highlighting China this year. Saturday hours are 1:00 to 10:00 and Sunday hours are 1:00 to 8:00. Free lunchtime concerts with Chinese musicians and local performers will be held 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. on April 20 and 27 at the City Hall Reflection Pond area. East Meets West: Heaven and Earth.  Houston events at the Hobby Center, 800 Bagby. Dance of Asian America and China’s national top-ranking dancers from the Shanghai Theatre Academy Dance Academy presents Heaven and Earth which tells the story about a girl. Worldfest Houston International Film and Video Festival. Stages Theatre - I Am My Own Wife. Houston Fine Arts Events

The Masterpieces of French Painting from the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 1800-1920.  MFAH is the only museum in the United States to host the Met´s treasured collection of French masterpieces while the galleries undergo renovation. This is an extraordinary display of 135 paintings, including masterpieces by van Gogh, Matisse, Picasso, Ingres, Bonnard, Renoir, Degas, Cézanne, Manet, Corot, Courbet, and Monet. Bierstadt to O´Keeffe: Highlights from the Stark Museum of Art.
