Chevy's Freedom Over Texas - Houston's Official July 4th Celebration. At Buffalo Bayou Park. Celebrate America's birthday along Eleanor Tinsley Park with live concerts on four outdoor stages, with feature act Los Lonely Boys, and the largest land-based fireworks display, presented by Shell, in the nation. Summer Symphony Nights 4th of July Celebration. At Miller Outdoor Theater in Herman Park. The Houston Symphony, led by Principal Pops Conductor Michael Krajewski, presents an all-American salute to Independence Day. The evening concludes with a fireworks display. Call 713.284.8352 for more details.
21st Annual Celebration of Independence Day. "Freedom and Justice For All" . July 4th Celebration at Oyster Creek, 4033 State Hwy 6 South, Sugar Land, TX 77479. The City of Sugar Land invites the entire community to enjoy and celebrate America’s 230th birthday at the 21st annual Red, White and Bluefest. The evening begins with the Faces of America parade featuring Sugar Land’s culturally diverse residents displaying their various patriotic roots, followed by the Patriotic Pet contest in which pets dressed in their finest red, white and blue get a chance to compete for the title of Sugar Land’s most patriotic pet. Throughout the event, residents will get a chance to participate in over a hundred acres of food, games and good old-fashion American fun with jugglers, magicians, and stilt walkers. The evening closes with a 20-minutre fireworks spectacular from Lost Creek Park.

Wait Until Dark. At the Alley Theater. A theatrical ride that is sure to keep audiences on the edge of their seat, Wait Until Dark is Frederick Knott's (Dial M for Murder) clever mystery thriller.
