Freedom Over Texas - Houston's Official July 4th Celebration. Houston events at Eleanor Tinsley Park. Houston’s Texas-sized Fourth of July celebration will feature country music star Clay Walker; the largest land-based fireworks show in the nation; a statewide sand volleyball championship; activities galore for kids and families; plenty of live music, and salute Houston’s military heroes and honor the 40th anniversary of NASA's Apollo XI Lunar Landing.

Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor. The Houston Museum of Natural Science is excited to present one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century, the tomb complex of China's First Emperor, Shi Huangdi, features thousands of terra cotta warriors that were intended to protect him throughout eternity. Where Clouds Disperse: Ink Paintings by Suh Se-ok. Over his 40-year career, Suh Se-ok has incorporated his traditional training with his Modernist sensibility to create dynamic works that embody his artistic vision. He has been especially transfixed by the figurative form and has continually explored and perfected it until it evolved into powerful formal gestures of simple lines that comprise his definitive pictorial vocabulary.
