Blue Bayou: An Evening of Moonlight, Music, Films, and Fireworks. 7pm-midnight: Houstonians are invited to the grand opening of a new 23-acre park in downtown Houston. There will be music, a floating cinema, refreshments, a blue fireworks show and illumination of the park's unique lighting system - which changes in sync with the lunar cycle. The Sabine-to-Bagby Promenade is a newly developed stretch along the banks of Buffalo Bayou, featuring jogging and biking trails, lush landscape and most noteworthy, the first of several planned pedestrian bridges to connect the north and south sides of the bayou. Music Series Part 2. At the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston. Featuring the popular Starbucks Music Series in conjunction wit the new exhibit Gee's Bend: The Architecture of the Quilt.
