2009 Best of Buffalo Bayou Pontoon Boat Tours. 10am-2pm. These 30-minute bayou cruises are a great way to spend the afternoon with your family. Houston Ballet - Swan Lake. Set to the hauntingly beautiful Tchaikovsky score, Swan Lake tells the classic tale of Odette - a beautiful maiden transformed into a swan by an evil knight - and the prince who swears his enduring love for her. It's good and evil in black and white, danced on rich and spectacular sets by the late, great Australian designer Kristian Fredrikson. Houston events at Wortham Center. Night Court 2009: Legal Fairy Tales. Night Court is written by lawyers and performed by lawyers with an orchestra and crew full of lawyers. The show parodies pop culture, current events, politics and fairy tale entertainment, as well as the legal profession. Alley Theatre - The Farnsworth Invention.Houston events at Alley Theatre. Stages Theatre - The Andrews Brothers. It's 1943 in the South Pacific, and tonight the Andrews Sisters headline the big USO show. But when a flu outbreak quarantines the girls, stagehands Max, Lawrence and Patrick, along with pin-up girl Peggy Jones, cook up the perfect way to wow the troops and save the day--all it will take is three wigs and a lot of makeup. Stages Theatre - Grey Gardens. Once among the brightest names in the pre-Camelot social register, Edith Bouvier Beale and her adult daughter "Little" Edie became East Hampton's most notorious recluses. Through a series of tabloid articles, and the documentary that soon followed, America discovered the eccentric mother and daughter living in their crumbling mansion among ruined heirlooms, mountains of garbage, and 52 cats. Terra Cotta Warriors: Guardians of China's First Emperor. The Houston Museum of Natural Science is excited to present one of the greatest archaeological finds of the 20th century, the tomb complex of China's First Emperor, Shi Huangdi, features thousands of terra cotta warriors that were intended to protect him throughout eternity. Where Clouds Disperse: Ink Paintings by Suh Se-ok.  Over his 40-year career, Suh Se-ok has incorporated his traditional training with his Modernist sensibility to create dynamic works that embody his artistic vision. He has been especially transfixed by the figurative form and has continually explored and perfected it until it evolved into powerful formal gestures of simple lines that comprise his definitive pictorial vocabulary.
