Houston Thursday, June 4 Events

Check out what there is to do in Houston this summer on our Houston Attractions Guide.

Defending the Caveman. Houston events at the Hobby Center. With hysterical observations into contemporary feminism, masculine sensitivity and the erogenous zones, Defending the Caveman mines the common themes in relationships that go straight to the funny bone while warming the heart. If you’re in a relationship, want to be, or refuse to be -this is the show for you. Call 713-315-2525 for more info. Event ID: 6/14

Stages Theatre - The Andrews Brothers. It's 1943 in the South Pacific, and tonight the Andrews Sisters headline the big USO show. But when a flu outbreak quarantines the girls, stagehands Max, Lawrence and Patrick, along with pin-up girl Peggy Jones, cook up the perfect way to wow the troops and save the day--all it will take is three wigs and a lot of makeup. Houston events at Stages Theatre on Allen Parkway. Call 713-527-0123 for more info. Event ID: 6/27

Broadway in Houston - Fiddler on the Roof. Tevye, humble milkman, harried husband and devoted father to five marriageable daughters, invites us into his little village of Anatevka. Here, there is a tradition for everything – how to eat, how to wear clothes, how to pray, how to marry...all of which are happily imparted by our earthy philosopher as he draws us into FIDDLER ON THE ROOF. Houston events at the Hobby Center. Call 713-622-7469 for more info. Event ID: 6/7

Stages Theatre - Grey Gardens. Once among the brightest names in the pre-Camelot social register, Edith Bouvier Beale and her adult daughter "Little" Edie became East Hampton's most notorious recluses. Through a series of tabloid articles, and the documentary that soon followed, America discovered the eccentric mother and daughter living in their crumbling mansion among ruined heirlooms, mountains of garbage, and 52 cats.
