Houston Ballet Mixed Repertory Program. 8pm. Three short works: George Balanchine's Symphony in C, Stanton Welch's Falling, and another work, which will soon be announced. Symphony in C is a beautifully classical ballet created in 1947 for Paris Opera Ballet and is set to the elegant music of Georges Bizet. Alley Theatre - Rock 'n' Roll.  Houston events at the Alley Theatre. It’s August 1968, and Russian tanks are rolling into Prague... Jan, the Czech student, lives for rock music, Max, the English professor, lives for Communism, and Esme, the flower child, is high. Where Clouds Disperse: Ink Paintings by Suh Se-ok.  Over his 40-year career, Suh Se-ok has incorporated his traditional training with his Modernist sensibility to create dynamic works that embody his artistic vision. He has been especially transfixed by the figurative form and has continually explored and perfected it until it evolved into powerful formal gestures of simple lines that comprise his definitive pictorial vocabulary.
