Bayou City Art Festival. 10am-6pm. Held each year the second weekend of October, the Bayou City Art Festival Downtown welcomes the fall season and has created a new Houston Fine Art tradition.

U Theatre of Taiwan. 7:30pm. This stunning company has been described as a synthesis of theatre, percussion, martial arts and meditation. Da Camera of Houston - Chopin in Paris: Epigraph for a Condemned Book. 8pm. A unique tapestry of sight and sound, Sarah Rothenberg’s Epigraph for a Condemned Book reveals the daring genius of Chopin’s piano works. In this original performance collage, fragments of Delacroix’s intense paintings, early photography and the provocative writings of Baudelaire interweave with Chopin’s music to magically evoke 19th-century Paris and its romantic spirit. Stages Theatre - Wallflower. Frustrated by current conditions in America, geeky teenage Milena posts an angry video on the internet—and accidentally ignites a real revolution. As the movement gains steam, Milena learns just how powerful a single voice can be, and realizes that in the faceless age of the internet, no one is what they seem. Dominic Walsh Dance Theater - Titus Andronicus. 7:30 pm. Alley Theatre - Cyrano de Bergerac: An Heroic Comedy. The soulful poet/philosopher and dazzling swordsman Cyrano, falls for the lovely Roxane, but ashamed of his large nose, Cyrano is unable to woo her. Instead, when he learns that Roxane loves the handsome but inarticulate Christian, Cyrano writes love letters to Roxane on Christian's behalf. Body Worlds 2. Houston events at the Museum of Natural Science. Exhibit features the latest neuroscience findings on brain development and function and more. The exhibit also incorporates 200 real human body specimens, including more than 20 full-body specimens in life-like, dramatic poses; healthy and unhealthy organs; body parts and slices—all preserved through a remarkable process called Plastination. Imaginary Spaces. Artists and writers have long been intrigued with the idea of constructing imaginary space. The exhibition is inspired by a series of installations organized by John and Dominique de Menil in the late-1960s-that dealt with spatial constructs: from hypothetical and utopian environments to invisible cities to earth art projects. Where Clouds Disperse: Ink Paintings by Suh Se-ok.  Over his 40-year career, Suh Se-ok has incorporated his traditional training with his Modernist sensibility to create dynamic works that embody his artistic vision. He has been especially transfixed by the figurative form and has continually explored and perfected it until it evolved into powerful formal gestures of simple lines that comprise his definitive pictorial vocabulary.
