Fall for Dominic Walsh Dance Theater. 8:00pm. Stages Theatre - Souvenir. Comedy offers an affectionate portrait of Jenkins, a music-loving socialite whose charity concerts earned her a cult following in New York in the 1930s and '40s, culminating in a sold-out concert at Carnegie Hall. Genuinely devoted to "her art," Jenkins was apparently oblivious to the appalling sounds she produced, and the fact that her "fans" attended for laughs, not musical excellence. Lucy's Legacy: The Hidden Treasures of Ethiopia. Discover five million years of Ethipia's diverse history and culture. The exhibition will include the original fossilized remains of the 3.2 million-year-old hominid known as Lucy. With 40 percent of her skeleton intact, Lucy remains the oldest and most complete adult human ancestor fully retrieved from African soil. Location: Museum of Natural Science, 1 Hermann Circle Drive. RED HOT - Asian Art Today from the Chaney Family Collection. The David Whiney Bequest. This exhibition celebrates the extraordinary bequest of works of art from the collection of David Whitney (1939–2005) to The Menil Collection.
