When I want to see my very busy uncle and aunt, I
call and invite them for a meal at Shanghai. "AH" they sigh "the people there
are artists of food!" We are usually the only Caucasians there -- so the food
must be authentic. We only know that every dish we have ordered has been
delicious, when we don't know what to order we can tell Queenie to surprise us
and the surprise is wonderful, the price is low and the service is personal and
kind. They even taught us to eat with chopsticks and tell us how to eat
unfamiliar foods. Shanghai and its people are excellent. We have moved from
the area, but still drive over for lunch or dinner at least once a week and
celebrate birthdays and other events with the wonderful food. For a special
treat, call Queenie a few days ahead and tell her how many people and ask her to
choose what you will eat. You will never be disappointed!
