Katsudon Pork Cutlet Over Rice Japanese Style Recipe

 

Ingredients:
 
           2 cups cooked rice
           1 onion thinly sliced
           1/4 cup green peas, cooked or frozen - thaw and rinsed
           Tonkatsu  
           4 Eggs                
 

Sauce:

           1/2 cup dashi
           1 tbs sugar
           4 tbs soy sauce
           4 tbs mirin       


For one bowl, heat pan with 1/2 sauce, cook 1/4 of onion slices. Add 2 pieces of Tonkatsu per serving, sliced to 3/4". Pour 1 beaten egg over mixture and cook until set. Add 1 tbs. green peas - turn off heat, let sit covered 1 minute to warm peas. Serve over rice (divided into 4 large deep bowls).
