Shiatsu Massage Therapy

Shiatsu massage therapy is a great thing for those of us looking for alternative healing methods. Many of us have aches and pains and do not know how to deal with them or what it is that is causing them. For the most part this Japanese technique has been to treat a variety of ailments. Many times these are common ailments that just are bothersome and painful. Think of how nice it would be to have someone be able to take these ailments and pains away with the use of their hands. An incredible thought is it not. Remember we are dealing with an art form here and something that many of us do not understand so we are unable to find a true meaning or make sense of why it works, just that it does.

A shiatsu massage benefits many ailments. These include back aches and headaches. They are also known to aid in the relief of migraines and menstrual symptoms as well. It is also believed to aid in digestive issues as well as neck injuries. There are many other symptoms a shiatsu massage can aid in the relief of as well. Shiatsu massage therapy is performed by a trained shiatsu massage therapist. This therapist will use their super sensitive fingertips to probe your skin for abnormalities and then will be able to pinpoint the location of where the problem is occurring from. They will then use these well trained and ultra sensitive fingertips to in essence knead the problem out of your system.

Shiatsu is an art form that uses the yin and yang, Ki energy and the five elements of Japanese culture to eliminate the problem from your system. Essentially the five elements are all associated with different ailments. Your Ki energy flows through your body and if this is blocked this is what is causing your ailment. The Ki energy that is in your body flows through what are known as meridians and if the energy is too concentrated in one area or too weak in another then the therapist will work on the area where there is a build up of energy to release and allow the body to once again achieve balance. This is very similar to the practice of acupuncture where a lot of focus is place d on the pressure points and thus allows the flow of the Ki energy to be at a proper level and keep the body happy.

You need to decide for yourself if shiatsu massage therapy is right for you by looking into the different types of therapies and massages that are out there. Consider the qualities and reliability as to whether or not this is something that you may want to consider as a healing method for yourself. Look into all of the different healing methods that are out there and think about whether or not this is the right road for you to take in regards to your personal well being. It is your body; you decide what you want to do.
