Spicy Grilled Tofu Recipe

 

Serves 4

Ingredients:
 
           1 16oz. cube of bean curd (tofu)
           1/4 cup flour

Marinade:
 
           1/4 cup soy sauce
           2 cloves garlic, crushed          
           1 tsb. grated fresh ginger root          
           1/2 tsb. ground chili pepper          
           2 tsb sugar         
           2 tsb mirin          
           1/4 cup vegetable oil


Cut tofu in half crosswise. Cut each section into 4 equal rectangles. Drain well. Dust with flour and pan fry in vegetable oil until golden brown. Bring remaining marinade sauce to boil; serve with grilled tofu as a dip.
