Dumpling Sister's Thoughts
10.31.2006 Running (Chinese Version)
In deciding between eating another piece of pineapple shortcake or to go to the post office to drop off some letters, I decided I should just drop the conflicting thoughts and just go to the post office. It needed to be taken care off, anyways. But this time, I decided to run to the post office. So I fixed up my hair, tied up the shoes, well, it was kind of chilly outside, then I would just wear a pair of long paints.
I started running. I had to say, it felt nice. I remembered about half year ago I signed up for the boot camp physical fitness training and the army officer kept asking us to run. I had to admit, I was trying to show off for my Asian heritage and good running traits, so I kept on with the running, but every time when I attended the class, well, every time I regret going. But eventually I was able to run without being out of breath much and I could start to enjoy running. However, this didn't last long as the class was over, so was my running desire. I almost forgot how good it felt to run.
At this time, the street was pretty dark, with some street lights on. There weren't many people on the street, the busy street of the day was not to be found.
The wind was nice, and I had run through half the hill, I had my back straight and run in rhythms, it felt like I owned the street, so cool.
I remembered seeing a movie where the advertising firm was trying to score a deal with a big athletic company, so they made a short firm about running. The camera was following the footsteps of the female runner, and the sound effect was elaborated. It was nicely done.
I was just like a runner, advancing with my own pace, maybe appreciating the streets, maybe coming back to myself, and left with just the foot step sounds.
Totally, running, very nice.
