>> Ballard Locks in Seattle
Officially known as the Hiram M. Chittenden Locks, Ballard Locks is an unusual
free tourist sight. It contains a beautiful botanical garden, a visitors center,
a fish viewing room, and the locks themselves on Lake Washington Ship Canal. A
free parking lot is about 100 yards from the entrance to the visitors center
where a free lecture and guided tour is offered.
